Additional meetings on my calendar this week include speaking on behalf of SACOG at a press conference regarding additional passenger rail service between Bakersfield and Sacramento, an open house for MBK Engineering, a National Association of Counties (NAco) West Region Monthly meeting, and an NCWA North State Drinking Water Solutions Network meeting.  There was  also a Wheatland City Council meeting on Tuesday night (agenda & documents).

At the RCRC board meeting, we elected board leadership for 2026.  In addition to the chair, 1st vice chair, 2nd vice chair, and past chair, the executive committee includes a representative from each of the five RCRC regions.  I’m honored that my fellow Region 3 board members — representing Yuba, Sutter, Colusa, Yolo, Solano, Napa, Sonoma, and Lake counties — selected me to serve on the RCRC Executive Committee for 2026 and 2027. I’m grateful for their trust and excited to continue advocating for the needs of rural communities.

Community events on my calendar this week include a Town Hall with Congressman Thompson.

Looking ahead to this week (Week of 12/15)

Looking ahead to the weeks of 12/22 and 12/29

Due to Christmas, there will not be a Board of Supervisors meeting on 12/23, and 12/30 is the fifth Tuesday, so there isn’t a Yuba Water or Board of Supervisors meeting that day either.  I don’t have anything on my calendar either of these weeks and will be spending time with friends and family.  Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to everyone, including my newphew Sam.
