My Recent Activities (Week of 6/22)
Tuesday was a Yuba County Board of Supervisors meeting, and a link to the agenda is here. Highlights include:
- Road Improvements & Transportation Funding – Consider adopting the Fiscal Year 2026-27 list of road projects funded through California’s SB 1 Road Repair and Accountability Act.
- Parks, Landscaping & Community Facilities – Consider an amendment to the County’s park and landscape maintenance contract and authorize bidding for Phase II of the West Linda Multi-Use Basin project.
- Hammonton Road Access in the Goldfields – Hold a public hearing on extending authorization for a gated section of Hammonton Road pursuant to the California Vehicle Code.
- Youth Services & Rehabilitation Programs – Consider agreements supporting educational programming, behavioral health services, and family support programs for youth involved in the justice system.
- Economic Development & Community Partnerships – Consider an agreement with the Greater Sacramento Economic Council and receive updates from local organizations, including Meals on Wheels Yuba-Sutter, Dine Around Town, and 93Q.
I had no other board or committee meetings on my calendar this week.
Additional meetings on my calendar this week include a Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) Peer Region Tour on Wednesday through Friday. We traveled to Minneapolis, Minnesota, to learn about transit, bike infrastructure, housing, and civic amenities in the Twin Cities. See our itinerary here. Community events on my calendar this week included the United Way We’re Better Together Golf Tournament.
Looking ahead to this week (Week of 6/29)
As this week is the 5th Tuesday of the month, there is neither a Board of Supervisors Meeting nor a Yuba Water Agency Board of Directors meeting. The next Yuba Water Agency meeting will be on July 7th, and the next Board of Supervisors meeting will be on July 14th.
Other board and committee meetings on my calendar include:
- A California State Association of Counties (CSAC) Tribal Working Group Meeting
- A National Association of Counties (NACo) Committee meeting
Unfortunately, those two meetings are scheduled for the same time, and I’ll be attending the Tribal Working Group meeting.
Due to the 5th Tuesday and the holiday week, my schedule is unusually light this week, and the only other meeting on my calendar is a potential meeting with a constituent.
Community events on my calendar this week include the Plumas Lake Walking Moai, the Plumas Lake 4th of July Parade, and the Wheatland 4th of July BBQ.

- August 15th: Plumas Lake Block Party at Eufay Wood Park
